Eric Chow & Co., in Association with Commerce & Finance Law Offices (“Tongshang Hong Kong”), is excited to announce the expansion of its offering with the addition of Frank Fu as a Partner. Frank’s arrival marks the launch of our new Investment Funds practice, which significantly broadens our offering to clients.

Frank brings over a decade of experience in advising financial institutions and asset managers in the structuring and formation of various types of private equity funds, including blind pool, leveraged buyout, venture capital, infrastructure, real estate, and project funds. He is also experienced in the structuring and formation of hedge funds, credit funds and corporate funds. In addition, Frank has extensive experience in representing sovereign wealth funds and institutional investors on their investments into various types of private funds.
Prior to joining Tongshang Hong Kong, Frank was a senior lawyer at A&O Shearman Hong Kong, where he acted for major fund sponsors, sovereign wealth funds as well as institutional investors. Frank is dual-qualified in Hong Kong and Massachusetts, U.S.A.

Tongshang Hong Kong is pleased to announce the appointment of Joanne Loi as a Consultant. Joanne brings extensive expertise in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and commercial law, with a specialized focus on compliance for listed companies and post-listing transaction advisory work.

Dual-qualified in Hong Kong and New South Wales, Joanne has over 14 years of experience gained from leading international law firms. She spent five years at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP , where she led the Hong Kong compliance team and provided strategies and solutions for her clients to stay up to date with the legal and regulatory development. Prior to that, Joanne worked for more than 4 years at Sidley Austin in the Corporate Finance Group.

Sarina specialises in wills and probate, trust management, mental health law, and litigation. Her expertise encompasses both contentious and non-contentious trust and probate matters, along with succession and wealth planning.

Before joining Tongshang Hong Kong, Sarina was a consultant at an independent local firm for 2 years and spent 3 years at a leading international law firm. Her extensive hands-on experience in the private banking sector includes 11 years as the head of the probate services department at a well-established global trust and banking corporation in Hong Kong.

Sarina's diverse background in wealth management and banking sectors position her as a valuable asset to our team. By bringing Sarina on board, we are committed to enhancing our team to ensure we continue to expand our offerings for our clients.
